Fans can exchange Thunder jerseys for new Flying Aces jerseys
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. โย The Central Illinois Flying Aces announced on Wednesday a jersey exchange program that will allow fans to trade out Thunder jerseys for the new Flying Aces jerseys.
Fans can make jersey exchanges at any home game during the 2017-18 regular season or at the Flying Aces office during the Flying Aces normal business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Jerseys being exchanged must be the white Thunder jerseys with the alternate logo crest on the front of the jersey, a jersey that was new for the 2016-17 season. Fans can then choose between a white authentic Flying Aces jersey or a red authentic Flying Aces jersey of any size. Any Thunder jerseys purchased through an auction cannot be traded in for a Flying Aces jersey.
The start of the jersey exchange program coincides with the arrival of the Flying Aces authentic jerseys and the soft opening for โThe Hangar,โ the new official team store. The Hangar will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 14-15 and Dec. 18-20. Fans wishing to visit the store should enter through the Flying Aces office, which is on the corner of Front St. and Madison St.
The Hangar, which is located directly next to the Grossinger Motors Arena box office, will officially open when the Flying Aces host the Des Moines Buccaneers on Dec. 29 for Star Wars Night. That night will feature a light sword giveaway for the first 500 kids 12 and younger and a Flying Aces winter scarf giveaway for the first 1,000 fans. Because it is a Friday game, Star Wars night will also include a $3 drink special on 16-ounce Budweiser and Bud Light drafts and 24-ounce sodas.
Fans can also begin to purchase the new Flying Aces jerseys on Thursday, Dec. 14 while The Hangar is open. All adult jerseys will cost $75 and all youth jerseys will be $70. The Flying Aces will have all other merchandise available for sale during that time, as well.
